The Old Baptist Chapel, Fressingfield, IP21 5QD

Since its deconsecration a few years ago and its subsequent purchase by Chapel Hall Creative C.I.C., the Old Baptist Chapel has become the village’s arts hub and already played host to concerts, film screenings, talks and theatrical performances.

Built in 1835 by George Spratt, who became its first pastor, the shape of this remarkable building resembles a coffin, is said to be an object lesson in the mortality of life.
